Reality Check
The Internet -- powered by coal! -- has lots of information. Of course, not all of it is true. And sometimes, even when it is true, it hurts our feelings.
Listen, we would love to clarify information circulating on the web or in the news that can detract from a substantive debate on America's energy future. But then we'd be expected to back up our factual claims with credible sources, and that takes time. Time that could be better spent producing slick ad campaigns, focus-testing talking points, fighting against clean air regulations or lobbying for lots more conventional coal-burning power plants. Wouldn't it be easier to just trust us with the areas of your heart that haven't been damaged by soot and soot-forming pollutants?
And by the way, there is no need to listen to anything NRDC has to say on this issue. Seriously.
Our Supporters Speak
Coal's dominance as an affordable source of energy has allowed me to spend more of my money on the things I really need, like heart medicine and expensive tests for mercury poisoning.
